Monique performs a variety of theatrical styles of bellydance from Tribal Fusion to American Cabaret Bellydance. Props can include: sword, cane, candles, candelabra, veil, isis wings and zylls.
Laura Selenzi and Monique Ryan are Cabaret Serpentine, a dynamic and hypnotic duo interested in the traditional roots as well as the evolving modern potential of bellydance, from Egyptian to Tribal Fusion. Both professional bellydancers, Cabaret Serpentine has been entertaining audiences in Halifax and across Canada for as well as producing their own full scale sold-out shows.
Mahari Tribal is a Tribal Fusion Bellydance troupe led by Monique Ryan. Performances typically include 3-5 dancers (more dancers may be available upon request). Adding more dancers to the stage adds more dimension and excitement! Performances vary from tribal fusion, to Bollywood, to Polynesian. Current members are Mahari Tribal are Monique Ryan, Jen Prescott, Shannon Parker, Clare Critchley, Gaia Aish, Neely Colter, and Ryann Farmer.
