Bellydance
Feminine and sensual, bellydance is a great workout that is suitable for all ages and body types. Bellydance tones the abdominal muscles, encourages good posture, improves flexibility, and inspires you to find beauty and power within your body. Embrace your belly and learn to dance!Beginner Tribal Fusion Bellydance
Tribal fusion bellydance is based on Middle Eastern dance, but it often incorporates elements of Indian, hip hop and interpretive dance. Emphasis will be on isolations, movements, and posture at the beginner level. No previous dance experience necessary. Be prepared to sweat! This upbeat multi-level bellydance class is for students who already have some bellydance experience. This is a bellydance technique class where movements are drilled to increase muscle memory and make your dancing fluid and snake-like, or sharp and powerful. Fun combinations as well as a great shimmy and layering section each class will ensure that all levels are challenged.Performance Level Bellydance
This class is reserved for students who have been practicing with Monique for a number of years. Watch for upcoming performances in 2010.
Hula Hoop
Hooping is a fun, anti-stress workout that boosts metabolism! Burn 400-600 calories in a one-hour class. Heavy, adult-sized hoops with friction tape help you keep the hoop up. You can order your hoop on the first day of class, or get you hoop in advance so you will have it for the first class. Check out the shop to order your hoop.Cardio Hoop Dance
For beginner hoopers with little or no experience. Join this energetic class for a great cardio workout and learn some easy tricks to keep it fun and interesting.Level 2 Hula Hoop
For students who have completed the beginner level and have a good understanding of all the basic tricks. This class concentrates on learning new tricks and mastering the harder tricks from the first level.All Ages Hula Hoop *New at Atlantic Cirque*
A class for all ages children and adults to learn to hoop! No experience necessary!
Bollywood Fusion
A fun bollywood inspired dance workout. Learn the basics hands, arms, and movements of bollywood.
Yoga for Dancers
A one hour yoga class that focuses on poses that will help stretch and strengthen areas of the body that dancers want to work on. This class is done to music and is a creative version of yoga that will engage both dancers and non-dancers of all levels.
